Past Programs

February Break Camp: Let the Wild Rumpus Start!

This winter break we will run wild in the forest of our imagination as we explore the books of author Maurice Sendak, with themes of transformed spaces, working together, playing with words, building characters, and conquering worlds.

Add language arts, self-regulation, emotional embodiment, and social interactions to your child’s “Wheelhouse” with our winter break vacation camp on story immersion through play-based exploration! This program will offer a comfortable, home-like atmosphere for explorations of themes that emerge from readings of “Where The Wild Things Are” and other books by Maurice Sendak and the collective play of the classroom community.

Our gentle daily rhythm will include outdoor play (including frequent walks in our nine acres of forest), frequent breaks and meals, a time for listening to and creating stories and songs, and an art activity based on our daily story theme.
