Caregiver/Child Programs

All of our caregiver/child programs are designed to provide social experiences for both children and caregivers, creating a supportive network for the early years. Our free Saturday Playgroups consist of casual drop-in sessions, while our weekday classes provide planned activities to support children’s development.

Family Yoga & Mindfulness

This is not a drop-off program. Registration is required.

Saturdays, May 25 - June 15

9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Open to All Ages

Could you and the children in your life use some nourishing movement?

Some much-needed rest?

Connect your body, mind, and spirit in a caring community environment at our series of Yoga and Mindfulness sessions for children and their caregivers. The tools of Yoga and Mindfulness, rooted in ancient tradition, can help us connect to the inner resources of our bodies and our breath, using them to regulate our emotions and meet challenges.  And it’s fun! Together, we will explore gentle movement and breathing techniques, combined with music and games, and a few surprises.

Classes will be led by Elisabeth Kent, a registered yoga teacher who has taught hundreds of children - from PreK to high school seniors - throughout the NYC public school system. She also offers yoga for adults with a particular focus on creating accessible spaces and experiences for all. (Learn more about her approach and inspirations: IG:@elisabethkentyoga)

Each class will begin with a session for grown-ups, while kiddos have playtime with our caring staff. Kids will join the grown-ups for the last half-hour of the session, for playful mindfulness activities to nourish connection.

Saturday Open Play & Kids’ Studio

This is not a drop-off program. Caregivers must remain on-site and supervise the children in their care at all times.

Every Saturday, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Free!

Open to all ages

Enjoy some casual social playtime and art-making in our outdoor play yard and indoor classroom spaces. Over time, we plan to develop our Saturday drop-in sessions into a Community Skill Share and workshop session, inviting kids and adults alike to engage playfully, to learn new skills, and to work on individual or community projects.

This is a drop-in free program, no registration is required.

Depending on the age and needs of the child, staff members will work with children either one-on-one, or in a small group.

A free Meet & Greet Consultation is required in advance of scheduling a session. Meet & Greet sessions can be scheduled via our scheduling page.
