Caregiver/Child Programs

Our caregiver/child programs are designed to provide social experiences for both children and caregivers, creating a supportive network for the early years.

Beginning Fall 2026: Postpartum Support Group

Every third Monday, 5 - 6

Free!

Children may attend with their parents. Registration is required for any children who will be attending.

Postpartum Support Group is a place for anyone in their postpartum era, or anyone supporting someone who is, to find community, resources, and kindness in a space that is judgment-free, supportive, and cooperative. Come with a question, a concern, or just to meet other people who are going through the same phase as you.

Topics may include, but aren't limited to: emotional challenges, lactation, infant sleep, postpartum nutrition, or asking for product recommendations.

This Support group is hosted by Wheelhouse Creative Education Center and Haley Henn of Mother Henn LLC. Haley started Mother Henn LLC after her own struggle with postpartum mood and anxiety. Her work history in education, libraries, restaurants, and as a nanny gave her valuable experience and allows her to support growing families with a well-rounded, researched, and holistic approach. While this group is open to anyone of any back-ground, it will always remain free to the community- because care and support shouldn't be something you skip because you're budgeting.

Join us on Wednesday mornings for a cozy and creative outdoor exploration inspired by the beauty of nature. Perfect for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers, Tiny Tea Time offers a gentle introduction to the wonders of the natural world through sensory play, nature-inspired art, music, and storytelling.

Led by experienced outdoor educator Sam Ross, these sessions provide an enriching experience for young children, supporting language and cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, and sensory processing. Caregivers can also enjoy a supportive, welcoming environment while engaging in meaningful activities alongside their little ones.

Our mornings begin with a warm welcome and an exploratory play time, including sensory play and some very first art experiences designed to spark creativity and connection to nature.

This will be followed by Tea Time, when children and caregivers are invited to join for some child-friendly herbal tea, and a simple snack.

Next, we’ll extend our exploration with a gentle ramble through our child-friendly forest. These short walks provide opportunities to connect directly with the natural world, fostering curiosity and wonder. Children will be encouraged to observe, collect treasures, and experience the forest with all their senses.
