Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for owning and executing the day-to-day business and operational functions of Wheelhouse Creative Education Center. This role ensures that the organization runs efficiently, compliantly, and consistently across administrative, financial, staffing, and logistical domains.

This is a business operations-first role, with a strong emphasis on organization, follow-through, and operational excellence. The Operations Manager will oversee scheduling, staffing logistics, financial processes, family coordination, and compliance.

While the primary focus is operational, this role also serves as an on-site leader—stepping in as needed to support classroom coverage, manage staff call-outs, and ensure continuity of care for students. Classroom involvement is supportive and situational, not the primary function of the role.

This position would enjoy the perks of our Wheelhouse Community, which centers on care that is  loving, mutually supportive, playful and hardworking.

Kindergarten Teacher

The Community School Teacher at Wheelhouse Creative Education Center is responsible for caring for children during the programs, as well as for planning and implementing the curriculum for these programs.  Our pedagogical approach is rooted in constructivist, progressive educational philosophies, and will enact curriculum that engages with real-world issues, is anti-oppressive, integrates academics into project-based learning, holds space for children as inventors and creators, and prioritizes play and self-directed learning.
