Solidarity Saturdays are a forum for exploring how we as a group of caregivers and children can support the most vulnerable members of our communities. People of all ages are invited to gather with us to educate ourselves about specific injustices, both locally and nationally, and identify ways in which we can take better care of one another. Activities might include creating art, reading groups & story times, discussions, guest speakers, engaging in action calls such as letter writing or calling elected representatives, building networks for mutual aid, or exploring other ideas that arise. Children of all ages are welcome, playful engagement is encouraged!
This month, we will be facilitating activities designed to learn and engage with the important local initiatives focused on supporting immigrant communities.
